Risk Assessment : Safety Management : Off Site Consequence
Mercury Technologies can assist your company in implementing a comprehensive refrigeration risk assessment and safety management programme that ensures all hardware and procedural issues are addressed and all legislative and best practice requirements are met
Based on the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration guidelines, the programme comprises sixteen elements including operating procedure, training, emergency response, computer generated offsite consequence analysis and a highly detailed hazard analysis.

The five McCain potato processing facilities across the UK were all been earmarked for ammonia safety management upgrades, provided by Mercury Technologies. Each site was subject to intensive survey and analysis. UK and EU regulations, McCain in-house standards and FM insurance requirements all provided input into the solutions; some of which were company wide, some of which were unique to each site.

Mercury Technologies has carried out ammonia risk assessments and developed site specific ammonia safety management programmes at various 2 Sisters Food Group facilities in the UK and Ireland. Measures were put in place to allow common procedures and practices from site to site where possible.
MOLSON COORS
Burton & Tadcaster, United Kingdom
The Molson Coors Burton brewery is the largest in the UK. Mercury Technologies were asked to carry out a site-wide ammonia risk assessment and to follow this up with developing the procedures and projects required to address the issues that arose. Mercury Technologies provided and installed safety equipment and signage, designed and oversaw technical modifications and participated in emergency response drills and upgrades.
